About the Role
Our client, a well-established organisation based in Dubai, UAE, is seeking an experienced and qualified Finance Manager to lead and oversee their full-spectrum finance function. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant with a strong track record of managing multi-disciplinary finance teams, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Treasury, and Global Finance operations. This is a senior leadership role requiring a commercially astute professional who is well-versed in UAE regulatory requirements, including VAT and Corporate Tax frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
• Lead, mentor, and manage the AR Team, AP Team, Treasury Team, and Global Finance Team on day-to-day operations and strategic financial activities.
• Set clear performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and ensure optimal team productivity and accountability.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, financial discipline, and operational excellence across all finance units.
Financial Planning & Reporting
• Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes, providing actionable insights to senior management.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial reports and management accounts.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Supervise AR operations including invoicing, collections, credit control, and dispute resolution.
• Monitor DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and implement strategies to optimise cash collection cycles.
Accounts Payable (AP)
• Oversee the AP function to ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate payment terms, and ensure compliance with payment policies.
Treasury Management
• Manage the organisation's cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements on a daily and strategic basis.
• Oversee banking relationships, foreign exchange exposure, and short-term investment activities.
• Develop and implement treasury policies and controls to safeguard company assets.
UAE Tax Compliance (VAT & Corporate Tax)
• Ensure full compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) requirements for Value Added Tax (VAT) at the standard rate of 5%.
• Oversee timely and accurate preparation and submission of VAT returns, reclaims, and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax (CT) regulations effective from June 2023, including taxable income calculations, transfer pricing documentation, and CT return filings.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all tax-related matters, including FTA audits, correspondence, and queries.
• Stay abreast of changes to UAE tax laws and advise management proactively on implications and required actions.
Global Finance Oversight
• Coordinate and consolidate financial reporting across global entities, ensuring consistency and compliance with group policies.
• Support cross-border financial transactions, intercompany reconciliations, and currency management.
Controls, Compliance & Audit
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls, financial policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Liaise with external auditors and facilitate timely completion of statutory audits.
• Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Qualifications & Requirements
Essential Qualifications
• Fully qualified Chartered Accountant — ACCA, CIMA, or CA designation is mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Experience
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3–4 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
• Proven hands-on experience managing AR, AP, Treasury, and Global Finance teams.
• Solid experience working within the UAE business environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and practical experience with UAE VAT and UAE Corporate Tax laws and compliance obligations.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong leadership, people management, and team development capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and applicable accounting standards.
• High level of commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial data into business insights.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
